20:10. அப்பொழுது பெனாதாத் அவனிடத்தில் ஆள் அனுப்பி: எனக்குப் பின் செல்லுகிற ஜனங்கள் எல்லாரும் கைக்கு ஒரு பிடியாவது வாரிக்கொள்ள சமாரியாவின் தூள் போதுமானதாயிருந்தால், தேவர்கள் அதற்குச் சரியாகவும் அதற்கு அதிகமாகவும் எனக்குச் செய்யக்கடவர்கள் என்று சொல்லச்சொன்னான்.

20:10. அவனது ஒரு தூதுவனை அனுப்பி, "நான் சமாரியா முழுவதையும் அழிக்கப்போகிறேன். நகரத்தில் எதுவும் மீதியாகாது. எனது ஆட்கள் எடுத்துக்கொள்ள எதுவும் இருக்காது! இவ்வாறு நான் செய்யாவிட்டால் தேவன் என்னைத் தண்டிக்கட்டும்!" என்றான்.

20:10. Ben Hadad sent another message to him, "May the gods judge me severely if there is enough dirt left in Samaria for my soldiers to scoop up in their hands."
